A community project called Connect to Skill is building a platform where skilled people teach and others learn, to open up opportunities for growth and work. It is part of the Self Expression Leadership Program run by Landmark Worldwide. The project held an online awareness session attended by 12 people, and seven have enrolled as its target community. Next, the team will visit NGOs to explain the project and enrol more students and beneficiaries, so that knowledge is shared and not kept with one person.

Connect to Skill aims to connect skilled people with those who want to learn, creating learning opportunities for students, graduates, job seekers, unemployed people and anyone who wants to learn and grow.

It plans online and offline awareness and learning sessions, and to connect interested learners with suitable skilled people, NGOs or organisations.

So far it has held one online awareness session, attended by 12 people, and enrolled seven people as its target community. The team’s next focus is visiting NGOs, explaining the project and enrolling beneficiaries and students.

Akshata Japannavar is working on part of the project.

Disclosure: Ganesh H S, who runs GullyStory, is also a participant in the Self Expression Leadership Program.
